RELEASE FROM THE NATIONAL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATORS ASSOCIATION
Under the leadership of Athletic Director Stephanie Koroma, St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School has been named a recipient of the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) Quality Program Recognition at the Exemplary Level, honoring excellence in the administration and implementation of a comprehensive high school athletic program.
Following multiple reviews of the school’s application and evidence-based documentation, the NIAAA recognized the St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School athletic program for meeting rigorous standards across ten Quality Program assessment categories. Exemplary recognition reflects a strong alignment with best practices, policies, and procedures that promote student-athlete well-being and overall program excellence.
St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School is the first member school of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association (VISAA) to receive this distinction. The NIAAA Quality Program Assessment emphasizes continuous improvement through measurement, planning, and goal-setting. In recognizing St. Stephen’s and St. Agnes School at the Exemplary Level, the NIAAA commends the school’s athletic department, leadership, and community for their commitment to innovation, best practices, and sustained program enhancement.
